Challice Voice Studio
Challice Voice Studio is located in Cave Creek, Arizona. It is owned by Laya Challice Field, a contralto from the Bel Canto Voice Studio of Blanche Thebom, in San Francisco, California.
Instruction at Challice Voice Studio can meet the needs of a variety of students. Because of the gentle technique, students range from the very young at around four years old, to the adult, professional singer. Originally operatic, this technique may be successfully utilized by many styles, including Broadway and Blues.
Young or inexperienced singers are instructed in ear training and music theory. Once the ear is trained to sing in tune, the instruction may advance to vocal technique at any level. The study of music theory continues until the singer is able to read music.

Professional or advanced singers must bring an accompanist to lessons. Accompanists are available through Challice Voice Studio.
Serious students should plan to take two lessons a week for the first two to three months. Under normal circumstances lessons should not continue beyond three years. At this point a student will have developed the technical skill to become independent from their voice teacher. Working with a vocal coach on correct musical interpretation, however, is a lifelong study.
